So im reading the books and am a quarter of the way through book 3. Am i right in saying that season 5 of the show starts at the beginning of book 4? If thats the case i got a whole lot of reading to do by next week

I started watching season 1 again...i know i won't catch up by sunday i just wanted to get my fix. But on ep 2 when ned had to kill sansa's direwolf bran woke up from his coma right when the wolf died. I never caught that before. He been having them warg abilities from jump

Don't short change yourself. The books are GOAT. What I love is that there are some subtle and more obvious difference from the show. So it feels the same but different too. I definitely feel like my knowledge of the GOT universe has increased ten fold from reading the books. The back stories of the different houses, the way they are all inter-connected. I mean you get that from the show but the books just make it feel more rounded. Shot now I'm just babbling. All that is to say don't give up on the books!
