Yo the word on the street is that the producers are going to deviate from the books in a major way this season. They said that some characters in the book who don't die or do, will be killed off or allowed to live in the show. They also said certain key moments that happened in the books will not occur in the show or will be deviated from completely. Honestly I think it's dope they do it like that because let's be real, the fuckin book readers are annoying after a while SMMFH.

I advise that non-book readers do not click the links in the spoilers but for book readers curious, you can check the spoilers I have placed the links in them:

*SPOILERS* NON-BOOK READERS DO NOT CLICK THE LINKS

Personally I think the reason for the deviations is because the show is catching up to the books mighty quickly and given the speed at which GRRM writes they're going to have to surpass the book and keep the show running. I think it's dope like this because then the book readers and non-book readers are both in for surprises. Makes it a better experience for both IMO.

Honestly, all that shit is obvious. I said all this last year. Books four and five are still great, but they would be terrible for adaptation into a TV series. There is absolutely no way they would be able to introduce all those new characters, sideline old characters, and develop all those new plotlines and keep the show coherent and smooth. Martin couldn't even do it in his books. Books 4 and 5 were originally one book, and it was so huge Martin had to split it into two and cover half the characters and plot lines in one book and half in the other book. That wouldn't work for a TV show, so there really wasn't much choice in the matter.

I think Jon Snow is their son and that's the secret Ned was holding.

Well if only dead men could talk. The show might do something with it, I suspect they will now that Stannis' witch is in Jon's camp. If she could read Arya's future, perhaps she can read Snow's past.... Just off the trailer alone I see the show this season deviating from the books in a major way.

There is still one man alive....

Yo,so you can't edit the title of threads anymore?

Anyway they're playing the 1st ep of season 5 in a few cities on Sunday,Atlanta being one.

I might have to DVR that Walking Dead finale and spend my day in Westeros.

Damn.I didn't see you asked about this.

It was at Fox and I went.1st ep is on point.

How yall feel about the show passing up the books? I'm a little salty on that. I'd rather read it then see it. I don't want the show spoiling everything and making the rest of the story and events irrelevant from the book standpoint. There are already some things revealed in the trailer that spoils some of the current arcs in the books. For example,
Varys telling Tyrion that the right person for the iron throne is a "she." We suspected it, but that confirms that Aegon/Young Grif is an impostor. I think he's a Blackfyre, personally. But it doesn't matter now how his story plays out in the book though since he's skipped over in the show.

That said, I don't see myself sitting the next few seasons out waiting on Martin to write the last two books..This cat is SLOW!
