well since this is a free for all debate now....
to exposes spying then run to a communist country is ass backwards. hes now in a country that dont give their people any freedom to take. now hes trying to go to brazil to help them learn the extent of US spying....where is the patriotism in that. is he helping US citizens or is he helping the world against the US?
every country spies on every other country....
but for anyone to say he exposed the US govt is stupid....because social media has all your information anyway an people freely put it out there.
you should always assume you are being listened to or watched. that is the nature of humans...not just the US.
so by him going other places to help them understand he is in fact teaching them new techniques. an who is to say he is not CIA who is stealing from those countries from the inside?
its one thing to tell the nation about it's govt
its another thing to tell the world about your nation

Traitor is a US Govt term. He was an EMPLOYEE of the US Govt (as a contractor). He took an oath in order to get his top secret clearance. Since he's not a soldier it actually makes it more black and white, b/c he has no duty to 'protect and serve' @blacksamson, but rather his sole bind is to abide by the terms of his clearance, to do right by his employer (via his contracting). He renigged on this. He is a Govt Traitor.
It just so happens his treachery has GREAT benefits for us. But we as citizens calling him a hero doesnt change a thing. He didnt promise us shyt. He did to the govt. He is a traitor.
