Come frolic with me all through the day

into Night under the silver moon.

Take a chance and come this way -

Should I expect your visit soon ?

Take my hand and walk with me,

a bed of soft meadow grass we’ll share.

I’ll make you wild and set you free

from your every little care.

In passionate bliss I taste your lips,

into the West the Sun has sunk.

In a sweet embrace time slowly slips

and you’ll look even lovelier once I’m drunk.

Crows peck at the damp ground -

The mountain air is thick with fog.

Barely hearing the Toad’s cheerful chirping

Above the shrill song of a Gray Tree Frog -

It’s good to be in a wild green place

far away from the tainted town.

I’d rather share songs with a Katydid

then to shout or be shouted down.

The town demands obedience before respect -

Something I just couldn’t freely give.

If you change one’s thinking

then you can tell one how to live.

Better to howl with the pack

then bleating with someone’s flock -

Roaming beyond fenced pastures.

Never waking to the crowing cock.

Leaving while the fires burn low,

quiet footfalls, but none too slow

traveling up over a wooded hill

mountain dew has fallen, all is still,

the Sun’s first rays warms Morning’s chill.

A much shorter stay , this quieter time -

Few spoken words and a shaded rhyme

As remaining seems dross and departure sublime.

Far better to leave when it’s dark,

waking no dogs and hearing them bark.

Hard ground over a soft cushion cot,

which renders one tender for the pot.

No venison sizzles on the spit.

Without a soul, no fires are lit.

This table is empty, no need to sit.

Under May's Full Moon

Forgetting the ones who we invited back

as we raised cheer to our Heathen pack,

and back rather swiftly tey came,

each one going by a strange name

all clad in colorful hues

red, yellows, all shades of and blue.

A curious madness of lustful desire

and four Wood Nymphs by our fire.

Scent of Spring !

Liquor, a friendly fire.

Fair company.

Noble savage men reduced to caddish curs.

Scent of Spring,

reaction, bliss, passion

and maddening Moon Magic atop this lofty rise.

Having little regard we get our thrills.

Inhibitions lost and no sense of what’s just.

here in these dark wooded hills

deep in our cups and wanton lust.

Let us embrace in a shadowy glade,

high above a flooded vale.

Beside the good fire we made,

where liquor flows and morals fail.

Revel under the starry sky !

Raised cups in cheer to the Night.

With the wink of a seductive eye -

fiery passion invites delight !
