caint front, game looks 100% better than what I had imagined it would be..

the lil teleportation thing he does is kinda cool, as far as for gameplay, but it seems like that would make gameplay a lil more stacked on Jason's side, like if u play as Jason u automatically got the advantage..

multiplayer ONLY, 7 versus 1

dawg...u can play cooperatively or competitively on this game, with the other counselors or in it for yourself

I see how Jason can see counselors in the woods in the dark...but it wasn't apparent if he can see them when they're hiding inside of cabins

I wonder how they do Jason's final death scene at the end of the game

i think the way he sees them is when their hearts beat on screen

i think the mechanic is similar to the last aliens game where if you were hiding from the alien, you could hold your breath for a bit to try to throw the alien off your path

I clicked every link on that page, lol...he finds them using his Fear Powers, but it's basically when a counselor's running scared, they make noise that he hears...on screen it's that little ripple thing

the different counselors have different ways of Fear...the jock guy and the girl next door have low levels of fear for example, but the nerd guy and the athletic girl have higher levels of fear. and Jason's Fear Powers increase as the game goes on

when Jason's Fear Powers are up, he also hears his mom's voice, tellin him the counselors ran into a cabin for example

im still kinda iffy on it. I know its alpha, but in my experience, the retail version isnt too far off from the alpha or beta versions

mad claustrophobic, running around in the dark like that, tryna stay coordinated with erybody else...the tasks remind me of the original NES joint (get erybody a knife, distractions, etc), but the actual teamwork, and the overall atmosphere make this a mufukka...

It's too easy for the survivors, they are going to need to change some things because it's too feast or famine for Jason

fitting that I finally get the time to peep this on a Friday the 13th, lol

couple of thoughts:

yeah...I'm definitely gonna have to cop this. sooner or later, no way around it...

I know this was a beta version, but the hit detection was off in a number of scenes...I know it's a game and all, but if Jason swings on u with a machete in close proximity, it should never take more than 2-3 swings for someone to drop...at least 2 of those kills involved like 4-5 swings. no bueno, hoping that's addressed in the final build.

the lighting was BEAUTIFUL...there's a couple of instances where Jason's in the woods, and they show him captured in moonlight...shit was DOPE.

I also like how he looks in Crystal Lake itself...hoping there's some coo kills in the water in the final version

after watching both points of view play out, I really don't even see why anyone would wanna willingly play as a counselor...from what I've seen, the majority of the time, Imma be playin as Jason.

hasn't been released yet, the vids in the thread are all from the beta...actually releasing in Spring 2017.

with that said, this game was truly made for the fans of the franchise...don't believe me, lookit their website. animations, weapons, masks, movie trivia, etc. and seeing that it's been funded by Kickstarter and Backerkit, it doesn't have to move huge numbers to make a profit...hoping for longevity tho.

I can see it becoming something all Jason stans feel like they have to own, like the Crystal Lake Memories and His Name Was Jason docs...works for me.

some of those kills are funny af...u can tell they used motion capture on Kane Hodder (Jason from parts 7, 8, Jason Goes to Hell, and Jason X).

it was supposed to be sometime March '17, according to the website it's been changed to Full Release "Early 2017"

You could either torment camp counselors as Jason or evade him as the camp counselors like in the old NES game.
