French Montana Isn't Worried About Being A Great Lyricist!

He dont even have to explain this type of thing. None of this matters. Those that like it like it, those that dont like it dont. Some make money, some get the game confused. Useless to explain anything to them. they dont matter.

why do some seem shocked, I did see sun on one of those battling things and he was trying, still wack tho....but we all should kno by now you never had to be lyrical to make music that people will like, and at this point its pretty much the norm...I wouldnt expect Montana to say other than that...

Thanks for the exclusive, he's only said this a million times. There are a lot of dope rappers who aren't worried about being great lyricists, he's not one of them.

Who are some dope rappers that ain't worried about being great lyricists, yet they dope?

Neither 2pac or T.I. are "great lyricists" in the traditional sense

2pac was a great lyricist, this misconception has been addressed to many times and been proven invalid...Has T.I ever said he don't care about lyrics? When? Up the vid or article...

When was it proven invalid? Pac is my favorite rapper of all time but he never said a line that I had to rewind and say, "got damn" or anything like that. The same with T.I. But both of those artists are legends because of their content, flow/delivery, and ear for music among other things. You don't have to be lyrical to be dope. And also just because a rapper doesn't state publicly that he doesn't care about lyrics means nothing.

being lyrical isnt about rewinding for 'one hot punchline' listen to some gudda gudda if you like that shit.

Pac, T.I. J.Cole, can all carry a song, with clear consistent and coherent meaning throughout the track, thats lyrical skill within itself

If you are not spitting with a flow and clever wordplay them you are just talking. using lyrics creatively is what makes one a rapper. One does not have to be the best at it, but one has to have a way of using words.

Exactly...Anybody who writes a song has lyrics...But lyrical skill and a large vocabulary or complex schemes do not necessarily go hand in hand...If a nigga can still connect with people through his words and get his point across without bein Lupe then good for him he's succeeding as a lyricist...Some of the greatest poets and authors ever were simple as fuck as far as the words they used...It was how they used them that made them great...That's "lyricism"...Hip hop niggas got that word all twisted up...I usta think the same way when I was younger but thank God I grew outta that...

He's dope boy approved? The fuck does that have to do with writing a good rap? Nigga French is hot doo doo grease. The ONLY reason a female would consider dancing to his song is because he prolly got Lil Wayne, Drake, or Ross on it. It's fans like you enable dese wack trap niggaz

First of all before I do why does it matter if they're worried about it or not? So am I supposed to excuse the fact that I think lyrically he's trash because he doesn't care about that? Maybe we should excuse all the wack rappers from being wack if they let us know they don't care.

that like a cook @ mcdonalds saying i dont care if the burgers are fully cooked i'll serve it when i feel its ready lol !! bad comparison but stilll sooooooo funny lol
