They use detectives, investigators and forensics to make sure the person is guilty before they take the case to trial.

thats actually not true at all...the police, lawyers, and judges should not be trusted at all because their /career/ depends on how many people they lock up...a lot of people are in prison and innocent just because of politics...the justice system cannot ever be trusted when its for profit...police, lawyers and judges should all be voluteer workers, then it would be fair...

It's true that some people go to jail for things they didn't do. But there's another component to the Justice system. It's called: ties to the community.

For example, somebody gets shot. They have to make an arrest so they look for the person that did it. If they can't solve the case they find somebody that doesn't work who's obviously a criminal and they pin it on him. It makes sense because that person has no ties to the community. he doesn't work or go to school so he ends up in jail for something he didn't do. But he was probably guilty of something else (I.e. Selling drugs). Moral of the story; work or go to school.
