when cam/diplomats were at their peak 2000-2007 (or so) there stuff is replayable because of the production, energy, and most importantly, the intricacies, wittiness, and wordplay of cam's rhymes...shit like that doesn't get outdated, at least not to me.
50 cent with grodt and the later releases sound like the bad guy music for a gangster in a video game. it's over the top production with slick sing songy threats, and 50 talking about how he going to break your head into a thousand pieces
that shit dont sound dated to you?

It wasn't his beef with 50, it was the fact that he dissed Jay Z. Jay blacklisted him and his career hasn't been the same since.
However, 50 went from selling multiplat to selling wood. So its not like 50's rap career is doing any better than Cam's at this point.

Cause if you think about it, his record label flopped as soon as Em and Interscope stopped backing him.
Both of their rap careers took a nose dive around 2006 when The South took over.

cosign @ the bolded. Cam's rhymes are complex and there's more than whats
on the surface.
50's rhymes are pretty straightforward. There's not much beneath the surface.
