50's rhymes are pretty straightforward. There's not much beneath the surface.

It wasn't his beef with 50, it was the fact that he dissed Jay Z. Jay blacklisted him and his career hasn't been the same since.

However, 50 went from selling multiplat to selling wood. So its not like 50's rap career is doing any better than Cam's at this point.

Jay blacklisting Cam definitely did a lot of damage, true. But I think 50 dissing him and herbing him hurt him a little with his street cred, making things worse. I'm glad Cam and 50 made peace though, I agree Jay likely did more damage then 50.

50's career has fallen off, true, but Cam has never achieved the levels of success 50 has. So 50 still has the better career, and to me the better music, even now

Curtis went platinum in 2007, if I'm not mistaken isn't it multiplatinum now? It didn't sell like The Massacre but it's not like many rap albums went plat in 2007.

The South definitely became more influential overall around that time though
