This is one of those back-door trump moves...smh!!! Meanwhile, General Motors has to lay off over 3 thousand employees...#IMPEACH

Meh...it's been like that in the Bay Area (Silicon Valley where I live). Chinese buy all the houses, then rent them out for the long money.

Like Dave Ramsey said, people sit down here watching and listening to these politician. Meanwhile the economy is run and driven by other forces.

It's been like that in Brooklyn for years now. It's sad that people who were born here or lived here their whole lives can't afford to own shit or those who did were forced to sell or move due to gentrification and foreign corporations (and sometimes governments) can just swoop in and buy the whole block.

Read past the Joe blow perception. These are foreign millionaires washing their money in real estate. It is like buying bonds. Read some real estate books about the housing bubble. Alot of them lost billions in cash on those toxic deals.

The article talks about foreigners buying all of these houses. They are not buying to stay there. They are buying for investments. If Black people do the same. The result will still be the same. Black people getting ran out of their homes. Changing the skin color of the person that is kicking you out of your house doesnt make you feel any better.

Gentrification isnt a absolute bad thing if the established residents are taking advantage of the situation. Does the city have a tax moratoriums or tax shelters for established home owners and senior citizens? That is also a helpful tool that can be used to help residents.

Also buying a home these days isnt the same. If you are looking for a career and are willing to move. Buying a home is the last thing you should do. You should choose a career. Get established. Start up your 401K roth IRA. After you have established yourself then by a home to stay in.
