My dad and uncle used to work at electric company together. Uncle had a party one day and introduced my dad to his sister/my moms. They hit it off. 30 days later they were married and I came along 9 months after that.

Too meet them now, you wouldn't know how the fuck they clicked.

Moms from Bronx NY, and was sent down south by her mother. Stayed with her uncle. Her uncle was married to my father's Aunt in law. Thats how they met, she was depressed and he was a tortured artist. Go figure.

How did your mom and dad meet?

In Baltimore, my mom recounts she and a friend were in a club/bar, and my pops was there visiting family from cleveland. Apparently was staring at her from across the room lol. When she got up to leave, he ran up to her car and asked for her info; Initially she said she liked his friend more than my pops, but he was persistent.

My dad went back to ohio, they kept in touch, and one day he up and moved his ass to maryland in the name of love..they just celebrated their 30th anniversary this August.

This shit chea let's me know yo mammy got dat ass

Gone head an creepset her

Mom had gone on a couple dates with a friend of my dad's and my dad apparently wasn't too fond of her. One day they got into a lil argument and my dad's frienda asked him to run interference and find out why she was mad. That convo turned into my dad getting her phone number and next thing you know they were dating, got married and had my older brother 2 years later. Shit is still a huge joke with my dad and his friend how he stole my mom from him lol

My parents said they met when my mom was 10 years old on a bus in Honduras. They remember thinking eachother were cute but never saw eachother again until their mid 20s.

It was love at first sight.

They then decided to move to the US together when my mom turned 30, got married, then had my sisters & I, & have been acting like teenagers in love ever since.

He was a chef at a upscale restaurant..he seen her at a table with her friends.

he sent some bad ass dessert I forgot what ,with a note complimenting on her beauty and asking her out, she said no. But everytime she came he did the same thing. She finally accepted his invite to go on a date after like five times.

ended up being married three years later then had me.

They worked together. Mama was hesitant at first cause he was white (this was the late 70s), but he was persistent. They got married in 82, been together ever since.

My Mom worked as a billing manager at the health center where my Dad was working part time as a dentist. My dad used to say little smart assed comments to her and asked her out..my mom thought he was a jerk and turned him down, he was persistent and she finally related after about a month I think. They dated for about five yes and then tied the knot...a year later I enter the world..the end.

Lol my parents didn't meet on some sappy Hollywood, love-at-first-sight type of shit. My parents knew of one another's existence in multiple time periods before they knew each other well enough to be interested in each other. According to them, my mom was attracted to my dad before he was attracted to her.

They went to the same highschool and became aware of one another but only spoke like once the entire time (pops was an extrovert, jock senior while mom was a dorky, freshman introvert with coke bottle glasses)

Both met at NC A&T and actually became acquainted but still merely platonic (eventually pops quit the track team subsequently lost his scholarship and dropped out, unrelated, mom decided to transfer and finished elsewhere)

As time go by, after basically forgetting about each other's existence they met again at my godmother's graduation years later (my mom met my godmother at A&T and they became bestfriends, coincidentally my godmother's mom was bestfriends with my dad's mom.)

well, my mom and dad are from the same sub-tribe so their families knew each other for ages. she got old enough, she was 16 and my dad was 31. my dad was rich, they got married. they actually did love each other tho, so it wasn't all an arrangement.

I know it's been like that for centuries, but as an American I find that so weird
