Northern part of the country, laid back and easy going, 3 miles or so from the Mexican border and there's "modern" shopping to be had there. You can drive back and forth as much as you want plus Cancun is only about a 2.5 hr drive from there. Shit is flipped out there, white folks are looked upon with suspicion, not Black folks. We wouldn't even attract much attention until we speak. Because I work in IT I could get a fast track to residency or possibly citizenship because the country has a shortage of qualified IT workers. While living there I can still work for myself via remote, keeping my current clients and money. Speaking of money, the exchange rate is precisely 2 to 1 BZD to USD. The standard of living there is low (this IS a third world country) and things like rent and utilities are cheap compared to what we have here in the US... except internet access. I've already called BTC and spoken to a rep about internet speeds and the best they have there is 16MB/s... for approx $200USD/month. When you consider that we're probably looking at spending $800-900 a month for a fat ass crib on or near the ocean, another $200/month so I can work and have some semblance of a modern lifestyle it's worth it to me.

The biggest reason for moving there, though... No more "nigger". No worrying about some paranoid ass cop shootin' me or my family. No more honkies thinking they're better than me and mine just 'cause they're white... in fact, the people of Belize readily let them white expatriates that relocate there that their white foolishness ain't tolerated.
