I have the galaxy 1 so I'm definitely getting the s4.

I use to own a HTC hero and it froze all the time and the updates were rare. Samsung, in my experience, are much better at updating.

I haven't held it. I don't really have much interest in it. Like I said, I got the DNA and I actually like the form of it better than the One.

I don't know about them being the quickest to update their phones either. Where did you get that from. This is my second HTC phone. I had the Thunderbolt and they were abysmally slow when it came to updating that phone. It's still too early with the DNA, but they haven't even mentioned an upgrade to Key Lime in the near future. All that said, both phones were Verizon exclusives so it's hard to say whether the timelines are due to HTC or Verizon.

does ur DNA have Pup error code and sim card error? I got one 2 weeks ago an it did this over and over i replaced the sim card and it didnt work. just got a replacement yesterday. I love the phone but shit got me frustrated

Nah, but I seen a couple people complain about that on Phandroid.com. Sounds like you just got a bad phone. You should be with the new one. It's not a problem with DNA in itself.

I called HTC thay said it was a hardware issue due to the way the sim card is made in the phone... all the phones have the issue . they fixed the problem but its only in the new phones being shipped. the folk who work in the verizon store were having the same problems Im knockin on wood that this phone is cool

That's interesting. I got mine pretty soon after the phone came out and mine never had that issue. Shit like that happens though. If they said they fixed it, I'm sure they did. When I first got the phone, there was a software issue that cause it to not be able to sync up with my car's BT. They got a fix and software update for that surprisingly fast. I was surprised.

The Xperia Z has my attention cause it looks better than the other options. It's waterproof. I'm far from being eligible for another phone though. Just glad Sony put up a legitimate effort with their offering.

lol sony aint making no noise in the cell phone market

Yea I know cause all their past efforts have been garbage. This phone is a step in the right direction for them but they're not going to promote it. I'm always down for competition to put up a good effort cause it makes other companies go harder. I personally have a S3 I'm cool with and not worried about any phone right now.

That S4 bruh...ooo wee.

The truth is clear...Apple isn't shit without Steve Jobs...they NEED that maphuka back on some futurama head in a glass tube type shit yo

I said fuck it and made the switch from the s3 to the s4 and it'll be here tomorrow and I'm curious to see how it does as a universal remote the most.

Samsung is gonna release a rugged version of the S4 which is waterproof and dustproof!

Rugged Galaxy S4 to have “Active” moniker, to be available in July alongside new 8-inch tablet

Samsung is readying a new variant of its Galaxy S4 for June, according to the Wall Street Journal. As reported earlier this week, the OEM is developing a rugged version of its flagship Android smartphone dubbed Galaxy S4 “Active,” which will look similar to the original but boast waterproofing and a sturdier chassis.

This is the first time that Samsung has ruggedized its most high-end smartphone, and is doing so to appeal to a relatively untapped market; as smartphones replace larger, more cumbersome pieces of technology, they become more essential to have with us at all times, regardless of where we are. People who work in hazardous or unpredictable environments often require extra cases and utilities to keep their phones safe, but external covers fail, and having a phone designed with such use cases in mind can extend its life tremendously.

Earlier this year, Sony unveiled the Xperia Z, a high-end device that is water- and dustproof. While it didn’t enter the Canadian market, it’s proven quite popular elsewhere in the world, and is rumoured to be Sony’s most successful Android device to date. Devices like the Sony Xperia go or Samsung Galaxy Rugby LTE are examples of rugged smartphones, but their specs don’t equal their might in many ways.

Samsung is also expected to debut yet another 8-inch tablet, though this one will lack the Note branding and S Pen, and likely come in well below the $399USD MSRP of the Note 8.0. That, along with a smaller Galaxy S4 Mini, will debut alongside the Galaxy S4 Active, says the WSJ.

I'd rather wait for this to come out July and see how waterproof it really is then buy it now. Hopefully this reaches Canada and not just the US

I heard the S4 is plastic as fuck and breaks very easily. might just get the One, or just wait for the new Nexus or IPhone.

They were made plastic to ease up on broke phones. The plastic absorbs drops better than a metal phone it might feel cheap but the phone is a beast.

Lol Exactly... I drop my phone Ar least twice a day and it's fine.

Can't wait til my carrier gets the 4
