The full story is really long but basically they were having problems and the ex wife told the adoptive parents her husband abandoned her and lied to the adoption agency and gave them the wrong address for her husband and all kinds of shit. She pretty much did it out of spite.

And the courts go think you crazy and rule that the adoptive parents keep the kid. He just got to keep his cool since the courts seem to rule more in favor of biological parents in these situations
