And that's the problem with this type of protest. People with white faces can't be ambiguous in their allyship. I can see that it's not some racist shit, but my first thought when reading the headline was "this is some racist shit."

I'm not sure that these performative gestures do more good than harm. A more useful exercise is confronting your friends and family when they say some evil and oppressive shit.
