I think the meaning of fake it til you make it is being misunderstood. It doesn't mean you strut around spending beyond your means living a sham. It means truly believing you are now what you see yourself in the future, it's a mind set, not a fashion accessory.

Back around 2006-2007 the term was being thrown around Scottsdale 'cause of all of the guys out there in leased 3-series BMW's, condo in even more expensive North Scottsdale that they shared with 4-5 friends, expensive clothes, poppin bottles at the club 3 days a week, trips to Vegas and Beverly Hills, etc... all while working at a call center, payday loan shop, or some other low end job. The only thing they end up with is mountains of debt and nothing to show for it.

Im at the point where I dont care what the next person spends their money on as long as it doesnt effect me. If they wanna "fake it till they make it" by driving a new BMW or whatever, so? Maybe somehow they make it work. It happens. "Theyre living beyond their means" look, people want everybody to be frugal and live in some box. Its not something I'd do but they can live their way. Im not a "fake it" type but thats them. I think partially there's a little bit of feeling some way that somebody else is "flyer" well they will have the consequences and results too. Well they are just stupid and most likely aren't going to get anywhere like that. You are whatever you believe you are. Believe you're a piece of shit good for nothing, and that is what you will be. Believe you are a millionaire and you will be one. People who made it big didn't sit around himming and hawing if they were ever going to have millions, no they fucking knew it with all their mind body and soul they were going to have millions, they believed they were a millionaire before they were they just needed to haul ass and get there.

We live our entire lives through the confines of our mind. Everything is perception. The mind is your playground, you're the judge, the jury and the subject.
