The ol' lady read the books and was apprehensive about the movies. Her apprehension turned into disdain when she saw the trailer and who was playing the main characters. The age old issue with movies not doing the books justice.

She thought Stephen Amell (Arrow) or Charlie Hunnam (SOA) would've made great Christian Grays and was disappointed to find out they both turned down the roles.

As a big fan of the aforementioned shows, I'm happy those dudes turned down the role though. I asked her what the books were about and was not impressed, or even the least bit interested.
