fa sho..never tried to fit in just was myself, but they stereotype and strive to be better because in there eyes if you better than the black man at something then you the greatest walking the earth which aint true, because not every black person can jump, play ball, or be hella trill at guitar hero smh

It goes the other way to. When i meet new black kids, or talk to black kids on here, who dont understand my background, and dont no me. i get looked at as a wannabe wigger who tries to be down with black culture. But they dont understand, or dont want to understand, how i grew up in the enviroment and im just me. The culture is in my blood just as much as any black kids. But they can't look past the white skin.

The key to understanding "white society" is knowing that white people don't go around thinking about being white all day. Life is just life, it's not white life.

exactly, me movin here was a culture shock, im from NY n NC n lived in the hood majority of my life, then i moved to Canada, n everything changed, i ised to always see things as black n white, now race doesnt even matter, or i shoul say isnt as signifaicant as it once was

How many white presidents has Africa got?

africa was ruled by whites for hundreds of years, they had their fair share of white imperators.

so i suggest u let them do them for now.

If I had children, I wouldn't want them to be raised in overwhelmingly White areas. They should be surrounded by at least some other people who are ethnically and racially similar to them. There are definite cons to raising children in areas where few other people are (there are also some cons to growing up exclusively among your own people as well).

I love it. Ive always lived in a predominantly white community.I was very popular had alot of friends, was in clubs, and ect. Made good grades and went to a blue ribbon school. My parents were in the military so i always lived on very nice bases with nicehouses and green grass. No ghetto hoodrats baby mommas running around no ghetto black criminals smoking and drinking in every corner causing drama. I didnt have to worry about my house getting burglarized.

But once my parents retired from the air force they moved on and lived else where still in nice areas. Im now 21. I have my own place now and im glad i picked the right choice

I work a good job make 15 a hour and i normally get overtime also my yearly income is more than 35000 alone and my boyfriend's income is more than mine so combined we make more than the max of income in most of the apartment housing which are tax based. So we couldnt live in most because we make to much combined. Were saving up for a nice house next year so were only doing a 1year lease

SOOOO I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt. The cheaper the apartment the better you would be financially so I wanted to give certain areas a chance without making bad assumptions head on.

i wasnt going to settle for a apartment thats in the ghetto. I went apartment searching and saw HIDEOUS crappy apartments. just horrible. Where I live we have a thing called mexican city white city and black city. MEXICAN city is disgusting, They all hang out infront of the apartment housing blocking the entrances, the walkthough in each apartment was bad. no up to date appliances everything was so small, nothing looked clean, they have tons of kids running around in the streets playing soccer around people's cars. pitt bulls sitting every where. TRASH every where. they all looked dirty and nasty and look at you like your a piece of meat. My man was like nope we cant live here especially because when he works night shift so he wasnt comfortable with me coming home while he was going to be at work with drug dealers and ms13's lounging every where. cockroaches all over the place. ill pass plus there are shootings their someone was stabbed recently there also. Apartments there were from $500-1000 a month

THEN you have the black ghetto. not that bad compared to the mexican ghetto. BUT they have way to many negros smoking and hanging around people's cars. To many tenants bring their ghetto friends over and they make to much noise, they leave trash every where also, they yell to damn much, there is like no grass anywhere just weeds, they all hang out outside of 711 so its impossible to walk in a freaking store without second guessing your self. Its just horrible so we didnt live either

We found a nice luxury apartment in the white community. Peace and quite, its also gated so no hobos can get in, Apartment is around 1500 a month all utilities included minus the electricity. which we can afford we saved up 8 months adavance so we were already 9 months ahead in rent by the time we moved in. Nice people live there. cable ready all stainless steel appliances, 1010 sq ft. with big patio, Everyone is nice there. and clean looking. There are nice black families there. Dont have to worry about my car getting jacked or someone breaking into my house. the trash is always picked up, havent spotted in bugs in my house yet, there isnt dog shit all over the grass, the leasing specialists are helpful and nice. Outside the apartment you have nice new stores, ponds, a big mall and everything else like that.

ITS JUST BETTER

I agree with this. I grew up in majority white area. I appreciate growing up in a nice neighborhood but I'd rather have had grew up in a nice black suburban area. Once I graduate, I plan to move to a majority black area. I like seeing and being around people who look like me and people that I can identify with. Its important and If/when I have kids I'd want them raised in a majority nice black area as well.
