Exactly when is the SOUL created?

Moreover Job continued his parable, and said, As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul; All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils; (Job 27:1-3)

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. (Genesis 2:7)

If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath; all flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust. (Job 34:14-15)

Genesis 6:17
And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die. (So who gone override what Thus saith the Lord?)

Job 33:4
The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

John 5:28-29

28Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

29And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Yep, yep. ‘Soul’ [living being] is the RESULT of uniting the ‘spirit’ [the life force] with the body. ‘god’ made man of the dust of the ground [a physical body] and breathed His spirit [life force] into Adam, and then Adam BECAME A LIVING SOUL /BEING.

According to the (Gen. 2:7), man is made of two components --- a physical body and ‘spirit’.

Exactly, & the scriptures define that spirit for us...

I agree mostly what Israelites had said. Biblically speaking, a ‘soul’ simply means a ‘living being’. The ‘soul’ refers to the person, body or self. The ‘soul’ is ‘you’.
What is not being said is that the scriptures use the words 'spirit' and 'soul' in a variety of different ways. the immediate context defines how each word is being used in the particular verse. The two words aren't used literally the same way in every single verse, tho yes the meanings of both words do overlap sometimes.

now two different things being said in this thread...that in the Bible the 'soul' refers to the 'body' and it refers to a 'living being'. which one is it? How many times in scripture is the word 'soul' used to refer to a dead body? (don't answer that)

I won't get into word trickery here, with you all.

I won't get into imperfect man's thesaurus with you, either, as *Spirit and Soul* mean something that has nothing to do, with the body.

So I forgive any one who has misconstrued me, differently, as I digress to my last post here:

its' not about "trickery" it's about understanding...

so does this mean you won't answer the question in regards to what spirit that goes upward?

You said I speak out of context in regards to the scriptures, so please for the sake of edification, what is the spirit that goes upward?

You can find that answer in 1 Cor. 2:11, for starters, as it's the spirit alone that can know and discern the things of God. Also, Luke 1:46-47

46 And Mary said, My soul magnifies the Lord,

47 And my spirit has exulted in God my Savior

Philippians 1:27... Only, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, that whether coming and seeing you or being absent, I may hear of the things concerning you, that you stand firm in one spirit, with one soul striving together along with the faith of the gospel...

or...1 Thessalonians 5:23

And the God of peace Himself sanctify you wholly, and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 4:12

For the word of God is living and operative and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit and of joints and marrow, and able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

the scriptures you provided have nothing to do w/ the spirit spoken of in

Ecclesiastes that you posted & you say I take the scriptures out of context....the answer was right in your face all this time, it's the "breath of life" that goes back to the Most High as our body turns back into dust when that "spirit" leaves our soul/body... that's the spirit spoken of in Eccelesiastes 3:21

this is all in context with what I & K.I.A has stated earlier from Genesis 2:7 & also with what job was talking about.. had you kept reading Ecclesiastes you would've found the answer, but seeming that you like to argue instead of trying to get understanding you just put out a bunch of scriptures about all kinds of spirits...(you do know theres one than one spirit right?,neva mind)

Ecclesiastes 3:21

21Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

Ecclesiastes 12:7 (King James Version)

7Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Zechariah 12

1The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

Genesis 2:7 (King James Version)

7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

:)

This is not correct, starting with the part i bolded. There's not enough information in that one verse to draw that conclusion. And to say man is composed of two components puts him on par with animals. Animals while they are alive have a soul (life). Just because they alive don't mean it's because they have spirit.

"God is a Spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24)

"And God said Let us make man in our image after our likeness"(Genesis 1:26)

The significance behind the fact man was made in the likeness of God is that man is a spiritual being, and has the ability to make choices between matters of right and wrong.
you say however, that the spirit is the only thing that makes man a living being.

The scripture I provided, was part of the totality of my explanation. So I have no control, over your inability to comprehend that.

I provided correct answers right there, in your face, and nothing you posted can change that. You needed to be validated, through that 'breath of life' phrase whereas, I simply did not.

You totally understand my point here, but for some reason, you seem hurt or upset because I didn't reach my valid, ironclad explanation...in the way that you wanted me to reach it.

Yes, I agree. And so I laid that out, here

You mean, I already know what's in Ecclesiastes for years now, so there's no need to keep reading if I didn't want to. Therefore I stopped that Biblical quote, exactly where I did. And went on to other scriptures, for a more solidified explanation I was comfortable with.

There's no seemingly, with you, and that's for sure! Your bible-bullying here...stands out, putridly!

LOL, so now i'm a bully, ok bro.... see this is what happens when one lacks the proper understanding of scripture & only have their opinion to go on... I asked a simple question, one simple question & what you do? Threw out scriptures speaking on different spirits, but then you say, you were "showing" the totality of the spirit...right! But I understand we have another "scc" on our hands, so it lets me know I need to go no further with in regards to the matter..its best you stick to "race" topics .....

‘Soul’ simply means YOU YOURSELF or the summation of all the things (i.e. mind, breath, body, life, and et ectera) that make up a person. Many modern versions of the ‘bible’ out there rarely use the word ‘soul’, now they translate it as ‘you’ or ‘the person’.

Soul = You.

There is serious word confusion going on here between the words ‘soul’ and ‘spirit’. When I say ‘spirit’, I mean ‘life force’ or else breath. Men and animals have the same ‘spirit’, or ‘life force’ [i.e. breath], within them. “For the fate of humans and the fate of animals is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath (spirit), and humans have no advantage over the animals; for all is vanity” (Ecc. 3:19 NRSV). “All go to one place; all are from the dust, and all turn to dust again” (Ecc. 3:20 NRSV).

You are way off base on this one. Read: “they and every wild animal of every kind, and all domestic animals of every kind, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every bird of every kind--every bird, every winged creature. They went into the ark with Noah, two and two of all flesh in which there was the breath (spirit) of life” (Gen. 7:14-15 NRSV).

Right on bro.....for some one to say that animals don't have the same breath as humans is absurd & furthers let us & others know thier understanding of scripture is lacking something serious...lol...

Man, you can't win with 2012. He really does have some mental problem, he thinks he's fully right all the time and everyone is out to get him. We're all wrong, evil, sent by Satan. He's right, holy, and a man of God. Dude is nothing but a hypocrite, knows nothing of scriptures and spits bull. Now he'll reply back with some strange post full of commas in the wrong places and feel high and mighty because he's the "underdog" of the SL/R&R.

I see bro... he is a joke as well as the other "scc", they all feel they are above someone but yet when you come w/scriptures kept in it's proper context, its no good... all they know is religion that's why they don't understand the scriptures....

well that goes back to my other point that the bible uses the two terms in a variety of different ways therefore the immediate context determines how the word is being used. You can say animals have a 'spirit' and by that mean they have 'a life force' and there's no problem. but to say the animals have a 'spirit' and man has a 'spirit' (made in the image of God), and equate the two as being the same thing, then that's not accurate.

oh noes! it appeareth i'm on the hook!

no, seriously i didn't catch that at first...if so, i would've tried to make my point from a different angle.

the 'breath of life' (spirit) in this verse does not refer to 'spirit in the likeness of God'. It refers to their physical breath or physical life. In this instance, 'soul' could be use and have the same meaning.

I'll just ignore the commas in general but you know as well as I do, the shit, is really, annoying, because it doesn't, belong there. I'm maybe too picky about sentences and spelling.
