From Mike Greenberg http://www.espnmediazone3.com/us/2010/01/mike-greenberg-clarification/

I just came home from the Knicks game and found out about the mess that was created by my garbling a sentence on our show this morning; I apologize for not addressing it sooner.

And I'm sorry that my talking too fast - and slurring my words - might have given people who don't know our show the wrong impression about us, and about me.

I feel horrible about that, because nothing could be further away from who I am and what our show is about.

I would never say anything like that, not in public, or in private, or in the silence of my own mind, and neither would anyone associated with our show, and I'm very sorry that my stumble this morning gave so many people the opposite impression.

We all know it was a minor slip up. No need in having protest, lets save that for some real racism. Mike is a nice guy and i doubt he is a racist. a dumby when it comes to sports? sure but not a racist. Accept his apology and let it slide.

Definitely not. i'll give him the benefit of the doubt as I would anyone that I don't know personally. I don't think there's anyone posting on this thread that knows this man personally therefore to comment his character because he made a mistake is immature. Me personally, I try to apply logic to everysituation. In this situation I think its not logical for a racist to have a career where they basically have to glorify/interview black atheletes who make waaayyy more than they do. Definately not a logical career choice for a bigot.

nah it was definitely a slip cause he caught it almost immediately like he was trying to catch it before the words came out his mouth but it was to late. If it was planned it would have been a lot more deliberate imo. But still it does raise some questions like seriously wtf was on his mind.
