Actually most Eminem fans consider his 1st two albums his best as well as most hip hop fans. "TES" was a dope album but it's not Classic as most fans feel the production was not on the level of "MMLP". Eminem is one of Hip Hop's biggest Icons for sure but he is not "THE" Icon cause other rap Icons are bigger. Sales have never been a determining factor amongst Hip Hop heads, sorry. Tupac, Biggie, Jay Z and even Dr. Dre himself are Bigger Icons to Hip Hop. Run DMC, LL Cool J, Premo, I can keep going. Eminem made history as far as impact but Icon wise he's far from the Biggest. More Hip Hop fans have responded to Crazy Em. Yes I agree that the EP isn't great but it's way more lyrical than "Recovery" which was the most POP sounding Em album of his career.
