Disagree w the thread title, but make no mistake - eddie knows how to act. The man was this close to winning an Oscar for his role in Dreamgirls. Around 2006-2007, most people thought his career was evolving with all the buzz around his performance and people were looking to give him serious roles.

And then he followed up Dreamgirls with Norbit...........yea......
