earl's mom seems like she's doing the right thing for sure. although kids get a pass talkin the type of shit that earl does, especially earl cuz he does it so well, that should not be the basis of his transition into adulthood.

earl does seem like a grounded and intelligent individual though. seems like he got the right mindset thinkin that his moms comes first, and just cuz ppl chanting "free earl" don't mean that they care about dude's well being, or his family's. it means that they want to hear more of his dope rapping.

i remember tyler said before "you don't need to know where earl is cuz you don't know him" or something like that. while that's true, the whole "free earl" movement was blown up into this giant mystique of where's earl? and trying to bring him back, when he was really just chillin on his own accord i guess. all that seems counterintuitive.
