Microsoft is smart, though.. They weren't winning this gen so they had to dig back and grasp onto the good times.

Backward compatibility is the last thing Sony wants to be bothered with doing.

You could say the same thing about 360s. And I'm sure Sony would rather people buy PS4 than "still have PS3s".

I can understand Sony doing it for PS4. A lot of gamers missed out on PS3 franchises. so its natural to release TLOU or GoW on PS4.

lol yeah they went WAY back with Rare. About 5 of those games I think I'd want to play again.

And BC isn't as easy to do with PS3 games, which I think is why they needed that Gakai service.

None of the games Microsoft announced made me wanna go out & get an xbox 1...

I'm glad they didn't focus on the entertainment aspect of the console
