I've been with Nolan since Memento (which still remains one of the GOAT vhs rentals i ever made just randomly picking something off the shelf) but this is truly the first project of his i can't get jiggy with, the subject matter doesn't interest me at all so it doesn't really matter who made this, but i'd rather he had done something else.

MY thoughts exactly. I always thought that Nolan works better with smaller budgets but it looks like we won't be getting stripped down Nolan for a while unless his movies start misfiring at the box office. This might be the beginning of that. I don't know why you would release a movie like this in the summer. I'll reserve judgement until the second trailer but this looks very uninspiring from Nolan.

After seeing the second trailer I change my mind. I thought it was just a action packed war movie at first. But now I can kinda see what kinda movie it really is and it looks good

The most intense war movie ive seen in recent years probably going back to the Thin Red Line.

Minimal dialogue but still effective , in sheer cinematography and giving you a claustrophobic atmosphere . Even made Harry Styles present decent acting chops.

Props to the British and French armies.

Nolan does it again.
