Ref is most likely "reference" shortened

The term wasn't really in the public consciousness like that back when Drake posted this screenshot

Boy1da produced "0-100" iirc, so that "1daQ Noel Ref 1" track is most likely the reference track for it

I called that shit last year when the first reference tracks dropped

You giving this shit way too much attention, i know why, but this doesn´t discredit Drake...

In Snoop dogg´s interview with Nore, he disclosed how much he wrote for the chronic and the writing process of deep cover and how much work he was putting in, writting wise and freestyles, today we know that a lot of ppl have also written for Snoop, DOC and Kurupt included, this doesn´t take away from the work he put in tho, specially when you consider that the chronic (a lot of it) and doggystyle came from his pen and that is arguably the best work that he has put out.

The point in bringing that up is that when these artists are hungry for a deal and coming up they putting in the work, after they became successful and have a lot of other obligations and businesses and appearances and etc, clearly they don´t write their own material as much, which reminds of me what Drake was sayin when this was being exposed, and I quote:

"If I have to be the vessel for this conversation to be brought up—you know, God forbid we start talking about writing and references and who takes what from where -- I'm OK with it being me," -Drake. That right there speaks volumes about the current state of hiphop and where it´s at in terms of niggas writing their own shit all the time, not justifying it, but lets not be naive and act like this hasn´t been the case in hiphop.

I'm giving this too much attention, yet you're bending over backwards posting titangraphs about Snoop Dogg interviews trying to defend Drake the wave stealing pop diva culture vulture

None of those words in your post changes the fact that QM has a grammy lol

And how does the "he's too famous and busy to do what he's famous and busy for" work with respect to the guy that wrote "Best I Ever Had" for Drake??

And niggas already knew the DOC ghostwrote for Snoop. Snoop is in no ones top 5-10 list

So your saying u acknowledge that Drake is in other peoples top 5 or 10 and it bugs u cuz u don't like how he handles business....hmmm ok bet

No I'm saying Drake isn't a rapper because he doesn't write his own bars

He shouldn't be on anyone's rappers list at all. He's a pop artist. And he steals songs and rides the wave of whoever is hot at the moment and drains their energy

You might as well judge Beyonce as a rapper. They are the same type of artist. Where is she on y'alls top 5-10 lists?

But he is end of discussion

But your fav rapper out here making albums doing tours and making deals together with a person that you claims is bad for the "culture"

Says a lot about mush mouth.

So Drake can't work the same way to make money just like future is?

But your fav artist don't care about the culture if he's doing songs with somebody y'all deem bad for the genre.

He's just going where the money is imo

I think as many artists as possible should be trying to cake off of Drake tbh

Why can't somebody use him like he uses everyone/everything?

Could it be they actually like his work and respect him as an artist? Everybody in the world don't hate him like the ic does

Mane u know ic and logic don't belong in the same sentence it's impossible for two rappers to be friends

There's a history of beef between Drake and Future though

Drake kicked Future off of one of his tours a couple years back

I think they're relationship is mostly professional, for the checks

Because niggas shouldn't fuck with him and do for the culture like you niggas ALWAYS bring up.

But no. Your fav artist don't do for the culture either.

I'm not sure what you're talking about, but if you read any of my posts concerning Drake at all, you would know that my main issue with him is that goofy niggas consider him a rap contender when he's not a rapper from a factual standpoint. He doesn't write his own bars

I've also made it very clear that I have no issues with Drake doing all of that snake shit in the r&b/pop lane like Beyonce does. They are the exact same type of artist

I never said people shouldn't do songs with him so I'm not sure where you're getting that from

Future told the truth lmao
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/15/drake-future-kicked-off-tour_n_4100822.html

Drake kicks off his North American tour this week but days before his first show, he is trying to fire one of his opening acts. The 26-year-old rapper is reportedly feuding with Future, who is scheduled to open the concerts with R&B singer Miguel.

Page Six reports that Drake wants Future pulled from the lineup, after he was quoted in an interview offering his two cents on Drake’s latest album, “Nothing Was the Same.”

Future was interviewed by Billboard about Drake’s work, as well as his own album, “Honest.”

“Drake made an album that is full of hits but it doesn’t grab you,” Future reportedly told the publication. “They’re not possessive; they don’t make you feel the way I do. I want to make you want to fall in love.”

The day the article ran, Future took to Twitter to comment on the interview, saying he was misquoted.

While the original quote no longer appears in the Billboard interview, it was enough to anger the “Started from the Bottom” rapper. An unnamed source told Page Six, “He told his agent either Future gets fired, or he’ll fire him.”

According to the publication, Future is now officially out of the tour and is planning to file suit against Drake for $1.5 million in lost wages. There has been no official word from Drake or Future on the rumors.

He never got kicked off the tour. My understanding is Future just got a smaller cut than originally agreed. They did the tour. Wasn't no beef tho. Just showed him not to bite the hand that's feeding him.
