Drake hasn't needed Wayne since that first album dropped, and that's at the very latest. After "Best I Ever Had" and "Successful" Drake might've been able to go alone.

Iuno man, I agree but longer term I think it was crucial he went with them. If he went 100% independent I think he may ended up a "flash in the pan" after 2011. Going to Wayne he got put into a position few could have dreamed of, Wayne was going to prison for a year and they needed someone to hold down the fort and Drake was more than ready. All the spotlight was handed/shifted to him - he may as well been Wayne LOLOL. But who knows right ? He could have made history if he went independent.

Yo what's crazy is that I used to wonder if he was writing for him (peep "I'm Single" or "Good Kush & Alcohol"). Maaaann I wouldn't be surprised.

In Toronto they looove Drake, that dude is like a King out here. I remember at Chum city they were jokingly saying that he had to sneak into Toronto because the crowds were way too much for standard security. Who'd have thought tho that the goofy kid from Forest Hill who was on Degrassi would blow up the way he did...... Fam I know people who used to bully Drake man.... I guess the jokes on them now LOL.

That's what I'm talmbout...Drake was gonna make good music regardless...But had he not signed with YM, he wouldn't be here, point blank..,It's plenty Degrassi kids that make music...At this point though, he could def leave and still have an impact...
