DES MOINES, Iowa —

(CNN) A campaign to bring rapper Drake to Drake University, worked.

Unfortunately, most students were sleeping when the music sensation showed up.

But one lucky fan did spot him, according to Jannay Towne of WHO.

"We ran together, we cried together yesterday and now we're in disbelief together that it actually happened," said Thalia Anguiano, Drake University Student Body President
