I don't think he was ever stated to be the first vampire in Stoker's story, but he wasn't turned into one by another vampire.

That would be dope because this Dracula looks like the best one since Bram Stoker's. I want to see what they do with the Wolfman. I actually liked the updated version, but most other people seemed not too.

Damn I hope this can at least make enough so Univseral has enough confidence to go through with the shared universe idea. Monsters teaming up to whoop goblins or whatever what's not to love?
