Basically it's me against 3-4 niggas in here who support race mixture
guys in here think that a mixed family is still somehow a black one and that mixed people will forever be considered black even through more and more mixed people are rejecting that black label.
he kinda got a point here.
some mixed that look and can pass for white will usually identify with white.
if they dark and have no option then they choose black but somehow say they got a white parent.
or just plain say...dont define me..im mixed
No he does not have a point. You can just make some wild statement and claim it's the truth. I can easily say that I've never met a mixed person of any shade that's self identified as anything but black. And that's the truth. Hell, right now I know a trio of mixed kids that live with their white families and still call themselves black. All that shit is anecdotal. There is real basis for him to make a claim like that.
The closest thing he had to proof was a census report showing that a lot of black/white mixes were identifying themselves as mixed, and even that was meaningless because that option has only even been available on two censuses so the data points are limited.
I get what he's trying to say, but he always takes the shit too far. He tries to compare African Americans to Latins and claiming what is the case with them will be with us, but ignores the dynamics at place in a lot of Latin countries. The fact is the reasons behind a lot of the mixing there is completely different than from here. And that's the point. The dangerous thing is not mixing. The dangerous is the reasoning behind the mixing. If a few people find their "soulmates" outside of their race, that's not a big deal. The problem is when blacks stop thinking that blacks are suitable mates or believe that other races are superior for some reason. Then the race and culture are in danger,
but there is nothing to suggest that is at play.
