Hilarious

lol

Well damn. This makes sense

No it doesn't. How Perry feels is irrelevant. Again if Ellen was a man and Katie was his friend doing this, feminists would still throw a fit. The discussion here is not about Perry's feelings. It's about how people react to certain circumstances when its a man doing it vs a woman doing it. Every woman in this topic so far has basically just contributed an illogical deflection, all because they don't want to admit that sometimes they are on the wrong side of double standards.

I don't get how there's so much disagreement. The fact that who says something affects how it is viewed and interpreted is exactly the reason why Black folks don't want other groups using slurs they use to refer to themselves

Same reason whites always bitch when you bring a fact like that up. They just can't admit when they're wrong.

A friend can call a friend whatever they want.

It’s not up to you to feel bad for them.

You are like these chicks in that you're completely missing the point that's being discussed here. Nobody gives a fuck about how Ellen or Katie feels.

it was a bad joke from ellen...

but context does matter...and from what i'm observed comedians do did leeway with the media and general public when they say certain things...same as when women and other minorities do or say offensive or self deprecating things....

so this idea that any male comedian would have been "destroyed" is kind of disingenuous as well

ppl like david letterman and jimmy kimmel (i.e. the man show) have said and done much worst but have not suffered much, if at all

ellen has also has a long history of going out her way to champion women issues and give women praise for their accomplishments and attributes outside the physical

that said, if ellen were a man with the same track record he wouldn't deserve to loose his career, endorsements either

and any one who believes that women being viewed in a sexual matter or praised for their physical assets is inherently this great evil is mistaken as well

but there is a lot of hypocrisy and feelings to go around ...on both sides

seems like most ppl who do want to see ellen fall are fighting for their right to be assholes in peace opposed to being concerned with how women are depicted anyways

The comedian angle is a fair point.

Why are we acting like "nice boobs" is so damning tho? It's not like a slur was used or something crazy controversial was said.

Didn't megyn kelly just get blasted for talking about Jane Fonda's fake titties a couple weeks ago? Context matters.

lol Most of us don't think "nice boobs" is bad, that said there aren't too many contexts where we can make that comment in public and not come off looking bad.

All we saying is you should probly know the person if you wana make that joke in public. Like I said before if Steve Harvey said this about his wife and ppl still wana call foul (cuz we ALL know there are ppl that look for shit to get mad about), they'd be on the wrong side of it and who cares what ppl like that think.

I could just as easily say "Who cares what people that would put respect for a flag over human life think?" But we all know how that's going now. These days all opinions are given weight. Even shitty ones.

Ppl unfortunately care about the flag in big numbers. Isn't it like over half of ppl want players to stand for the anthem? If a dude said his wife had nice boobs nowhere near that number would give a fuck

Shit, while y'all play talking bout Katie's juggs u better peep Ellen's set! Again, not a fan of hers @ all but the visual of her and Sharon Stone bumping tuna and topless was a surprising site. She hide that shit well under those Charlie Chaplain outfits. Ant head ass.
