From the outside looking in it can seem like that, but if you're from here there really is a difference in DC, PG County MD and VA. There's more similarities between PG and DC though mainly because alot of PG and DC share the same neighborhoods, but it's all different and the people here simply acknowledge the differences in the people here. The main reason Wale has such a hard time getting people here to really LOVE him is simply because DC and PG grew up on southern rap so our taste tend to be more southern oriented. That's why a nigga like Fat Trel, who ain't nothing but a DC version of Gucci, has so much ground support behind him. They'd rather a rapper like that represent DC than a nigga like Wale who is doing spoken word poems in the middle of songs.

The County's been flooded with DC Niggaz ever since the cost of living has been inflated. Even beforehand there was mainly DC Niggaz in PG County. It was like being a cashier at McDonald's. The niggaz from DC are the cheeseburgers/double cheeseburgers but the niggaz actually from PG would be like the hamburger.

Thing is, VA Niggaz are more slicker, more focused, more Money Orientated, and more Fun (to be honest). They know how to get Money just like they know how to throw a House Party (thank u White Boys). And in places where u'd think all the white people live at there's mostly Latin & Black people there. Alot of shit will throw u off if u not from the area.

You really don't know what you're talking about. First off, nobody calls DC South Washington. THat shit sounds stupid as fuck. Second, DC niggas ain't scared of Baltimore niggas. Talking about your dad used to ride from Baltimore to DC just to throw balloons. Nigga DC and Baltimore a good 45 mins- 1hr apart. Ain't nobody riding that long to throw some damn balloons. That's a beef that goes back to some street shit with Alpo snitching on DC niggas. The only PG niggas that try to pretend like their from DC are the ones who live way out in the suburbs in places like Upper Marlboro, Clinton, Indian Head Highway, and places like that. There's too many overlapping DC/PG neighborhoods so ain't no issue between PG and DC niggas that live that close. The issue is with people who live deep in MD and VA saying they lve in DC. PG niggas who live close to the city line will simply tell you what neighborhood they're from and what side of the line they live on. Like if you live on Suitland Rd niggas know that runs from SE DC through PG MD. Same with Penn. Ave which is where alot of neighborhoods are too. Northen VA ain't shit but a bunch of racist ass police, El Salvadorians, and rich white folks.

Can also tell he bullshitting because Howard Homecoming is a party for the whole city not just HU students. They have parties at every club so it's only natural that people who live here would end up at the parties too. Besides as small as DC and PG County is damn near everybody knows somebody who is at Howard any damn way.

As far as musically though Go-Go has been the #1 music in DC for ages. It's something ingrained in the city and influences alot of shit. A rapper would have to blow up using solely that style to get 100% of DC behind them. That's how Wale first got on here, doing go-go rap songs. That's also why some people stopped fucking with him here, because he stopped doing them as much. "Clappers" was the first go-go style song he's done in a minute
