The 2nd bolded is from 2nd Rd KO. The fact that you didn't know that further proves my point that Bis's lyrics don't really hit like Bigs.

How would he know a song he's never heard before? That doesn't prove his lyrics are better, just that he was more popular.

EmbezzelJayR;3458551 said:
so what his best album?

I'd say Can-I-Bus, his first album, but I've only heard a few of them. You'd have to ask a real Canibus fan, cause that I am not. I'm just saying, I dig his verses, and I'd rather listen to him that Biggie.

I don't exactly see these on Facebook statuses. Aside from the 2nd Rd joints, nobody outside of Canibus fans really knows this. In fact, I'll post some lyrics, and I bet you can recognize the artist.

*NOTE: I'm not implying that most memorable means better, Wayne has a shitload of "memorable" lyrics

His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy

There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti

He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready to drop bombs,

but he keeps on forgetting what he wrote down,

the whole crowd goes so loud

He opens his mouth, but the words won't come out

He's choking how, everybody's joking now

The clock's run out, time's up over, bloah!

We used to fight for building blocks

Now we fight for blocks with buildings that make a killing

The closest of friends when we first started

But grew apart as the money grew, and soon grew black-hearted

Thinking back when we first learned to use rubbers

He never learned so in turn I'm kidnapping his baby's mother

My hand around her collar, feeding her cheese

She said the taste of dollars was shitty so I fed her fifties

About his whereabouts I wasn't convinced

So I kept feeding her money 'til her shit started to make sense

Who could ever forsee, we used to stay up all night at slumber parties

now I'm trying to rock this bitch to sleep

All the years we were real close

Now I see his fears through her tears, know she's wishing we were still

close

Don't cry, it is to be

In time, I'll take away your miseries and make 'em mine

It ain't hard to tell, I excel, then prevail

The mic is contacted, I attract clientele

My mic check is life or death, breathin a sniper's breath

I exhale the yellow smoke of buddha through righteous steps

Deep like The Shinin', sparkle like a diamond

Sneak a uzi on the island in my army jacket linin

Hit the Earth like a comet, invasion

Nas is like the Afrocentric Asian, half-man, half-amazin

Cause in my physical, I can express through song

Delete stress like Motrin, then extend strong

I drank Moet with Medusa, give her shotguns in hell

From the spliff that I lift and inhale, it ain't hard to tell

Again, because they're not on Facebook doesn't prove anything. People post the wackest lyrics on Facebook and you know it. What makes lyrics memorable is that people will remember them after hearing them, not that they are well known. Most people aren't quoting Canibus on Facebook because they've never heard of him. That doesn't make him less memorable, nor talented, just less popular, because I guarantee anybody that hears one of his verses will never forget it. Oh and while I know the first and last one you quote, I have no idea where the second verse is from.

Bigaveli fuck outta here wit that Nas makes boring music shit. He been had the strongest concepts in the game or at the very least second to Pac. Ain't shit boring about Represent, it ain't hard to tell,I gave you power, Nas is Like, come get me, favor for a favor, the set up,made you look, get down, thefts theme, or any of the joints he dunt did with game. The fact you tried to knock the man about the shit since stillmatic when it was basically the guys third classic by then( lots of rappers can't even get one) shows you have no idea about rap lyricists.

Just had to get that off my chest. Made you look beat>>>>any Eminiem beat I can think of off the top of my head and def. Better than any beat on recovery

And back to Lab Baby and the desparado song wit Canibus vs AZ you admitted yourself he got AZ who got Nas on lives a bitch but the reason I brought up desperrado is to illustrate my point about Bis being tough to outshined even if the guy is a good lyricists like AZ

Not downplaying Canibus's abilities. He's definitely on a another level when it comes to technical skill. He's definitely good at what he does, which is speaking in abstraction, hyperbole and surrealism. But Big is at least top 5 in every category. And the focus is lyrics. Who wins a race, the person who gets to the finish line the quickest, or the one who runs the longest without being winded? Bis is the latter, skillfully advanced, but not enough to move the crowd on a consistent basis like Big.

Oh, and fuck that pasty panini smellin ass bitch. She can eat a pig dick with hot sauce while she prays to the east for a butt raping Max B style by Eminem.

You jus gonna act like its impossible for somebody to never have heard that? I had to Google it. I'm not gonna lie, I don't think I've heard it before. If I did it was only once, and I don't remember it... I'm pretty sure I haven't heard that before..

Yeah man. Biggie gonna have the better songs and move the crowd better because of it there's no doubt about that. But all I'm saying is Canibus is good enough with the technical skills to the point where when somebody say he's better than someone I think its Atleast debatable, but the Ts acted like it was something just real crazy

Agreed. That's a reasonable statement, albeit an unpopular one... and there's nothing wrong with having a different opinion. You do understand though that some people are just pretentious douches cuz they bought a Jedi Mind Tricks album, so they shit on popular music. I knew someone like that in college, I wanted to break his jaw.

Fuck outta here! So in other words, you penalizing Bis for having a bigger vocabulary than other rappers and using his mind. I've never seen Canibus get sonned on a feature, infact if you listen to the lost boys joint he was first on to the fantastic 4 shit on dj clues shit, to him holding his own wit 3 lyrical monsters in the 4 horsemen to him on the Firm album he always make you forget other people are on the track. Do you know how tough it is to outshine AZ on a track nigga? And you Cant tell me his delivery ain't clearer than Bigs. If he got the same beats in his career that Big had this nigga woulda been a problem and woulda shut down the whole rap game but with the exception of second round K.O and the title track to Canibus 2001 (which was cold as fuck) he never ever got decent beats. I'm saying he's the better lyricist because for crying out loud, if the nigguh got one strength that he's known for when his name pops up, its Lyrics! When you think of Big you think of classic two albums, king of new York, can do storytelling as well as club joints, sonned by Pac, so Big might be different things to different people but Bis is always known first and for most for Lyrics. That's not to say he's the better overall rapper or has had the better impact on the game or nothing but just going off just lyrical prowness whichis only one element you gotta give it to Bis

it's not his vocabulary that makes him unlistenable, it's that he doesn't know when to and when not use it. the best writers know when to use the right words to make their statements more effective. even though it's two different things, think of any great book you've read. i doubt the author used big words every other word.
