I know I'm gonna get stomped for this, but I've never really been impressed by Alicia Keys voice. I like some of her songs but for the most part when I listen to her, I hear someone who is trying to do more than what their voice will allow.

yeah that the thing about artists. they may be just another video to you, but in their city they may be very popular.
like paul wall is popular in houston, but outside of houston, he may just be some cat that had a video once.

I agree with this.
She's never on key. Thats why a lot of her music is made in the minor key... She's usually a flat most of the time and have a hard time hitting notes properly. I wish she would get a GREAT vocal coach to teach her to kick that habit.
She's like a bad broadway vocalist who cant control their voice.
