Cormega has a better catalouge and is a better Lyricist

ehhh.....

It's easy to see why anyone who listen's to lyrics would say Cormega is better than Nas. but IMHO Cormega isn't in the same class as Nas when it come's to rhymes and here's my feelings for that....

(1). Story telling
Nas's story telling is someone unmatched as far as mainstream lyricist go. Prime examples.....

On the "I Gave You Power" cut, Nas clearly states he is a Gun but MANY-ah-people still wasn't sure he was spitting from the perspective of a pistol until the very end. and the way he tell's it, FORCES you to envision a pistol with a conscious. He animates his rhyme's in the sense that they are not too vivid to the point it because lame, and it isn't too dull to the point you lose interest.

The "Rewind" track, that need's no explanation. he rhymed a verse from end to beginning and made it make sense. this cut play's out like a movie in my head everytime I hear it

Cormega's story telling is more......announcer were as Nas's is more narrative and personal.

(2). Flow
Cormega's flow is very VERY ruggid, unless you are a 'mega fan his flow can turn new listeners off easily. He has the vocabulary to make you second guess your judgement of his image but the way he slang's his word's around is very non-fluid, it's really jerked and too brute at times. examples....

Nas on the other hand, his flow is as fluid as a stream. where as he can make his delivery and flow carry or pick up weight just by the word's alone, he keep's a Mellow not too hype energy but can make his word's paint pictures which become heavy in substance (if that make's sense), examples....

[In this where he says's "17 rock's Gleam from 1 ring/ and let me let ya'll nigga's know 1 thing// it's 1-life, 1-love/ so there can Only be 1 King//" shit was heavy as fuck in only a couple bar's. and he didn't slang ruggid with it either, shit was smooth]

so overall, Nas has a better mastery over A-B-A-B or A-B-C-D/A-B-C-D patterns of rhymes

Cormega is dope! no doubt about it, but saying he is better than Nas is hard to actually say. But I dig and understand where you come from and why you may think so.

Edited to add: Both are diamonds far as talent, but Cormega like the unpolished carbon rock (with MADD potential) but Nas like a polished gem shinning.
