Society is changing, mom and dad are changing, the kids will change too. So IMO the picture seems bigger than tommy not getting to play catch, not that he shouldn't.

I realize you said most, but the trend seems to be that everything is on the father. The idea that daddy could save the day and solve everything is the thinking of an 8 year old to begin with.

Contrary to popular belief, not every father that decides to be apart of his childs life is the worlds #1 dad. Contrary to popular belief, not every single mother raises a bitch for a boy. Plenty of people with both their parents raising them still turned out fucked up. So I wouldn't pin the problem on just that alone. I'm not saying good parenting isn't influential, but let's be real. Brenda wasn't the first to have that baby on her own, plenty of faggots still had fathers growing up, and plenty of kids in orphanages still managing to get to college. With the other over looked thing being that kids just do dumb shit. No matter how many times you tell them or whip they ass. They just fuck up.

The lack of a father is always blamed, but maybe some of these mothers should have some good shit to put in a child's mind in the first place. And if the dude had coward in his blood to run, what's to say he should of stayed anyway. Now it takes a woman to be woman and a man to be a man. But what about bad parenting, lack of good leadership? Their both useless to their kids if they ain't got that type of shit to begin with. Single parent or not, if they can't lay no foundation for the child to maintain against the elements of the world, disaster is the likely result anyway.
