College is only one way a person can make it, there are many other ways to make money in the world. College is just the safest way to make money, since most people aren't born talented or built for making money the illegal way.

That said, I would argue that it's more important now than ever. Unless you have an indispensable talent(entrepreneurship is one of those), I don't see you getting far simply b/c a Bachelors isn't worth shit anymore. Sure, back in the day you could make it without. For example, my girl's step mom is an accountant and she only has her GED and a shit ton of experience. She makes BANK for a real estate company. You couldn't get into the door like that today. Entry level jobs(and you need a foot in the door even if you're gonna run up the stairs) all require bachelor's. I'll say this though, it's not an indicator of future success. Same way the lack of one isn't an indicator of future failure. However, having one only helps you.

The vast majority of the forbes 400 are inheritances, followed by college edu Of the 10 riches people in America, 4 were inherited wealth, 4 were college grads. Stop citing these anamolies as proof you don't need college. Like I said, a college degree is not sure shot success. But unless you have an inherent knack for numbers, and have been working with computers since you were a toddler, I wish you good luck. Let's be honest, the vast majority of people aren't Bill GAtes. We weren't all raised by wealthy fathers who placed us in computer camp and shit like that. Stop buying into the bullshit and go to college nigga.

Fuck No, As an adult as much as I read and know more about how to make it in life then the people who come out of school and try to pay off their debts and are slaves to society...knowing what I know now....I would've dropped out at 16 , continued to read and study on my leisure time while saving up my money.
