Do you know anyone still loyal to Blackberry

i acquired one from my twin last year when my sprint katana 2 burned out on me after owning it for a few years. i don't know how old the blackberry is that he gave me but it works just fine so i have no problems with it.

and apple iPhones do track folks if not set you up homie:

The iPhone already keeps track of everywhere you've ever been in life, even before you had an iPhone, especially when you were doing something that's not necessarily right, now Apple is trying to block an app that lets you know the locations of DUI checkpoints. (Which would be the sweetest app evar, for those of us who can barely afford a drink in a bar, let alone a cab.) Why should Apple give a shit if people know where DUI checkpoints are? They must be Illuminati. I just recently got an Android phone, as opposed to an iPhone - mostly because it was cheaper, natch, but I heard it has some shit you can't get on the iPhone. Bonus. I wonder if it still spies on you.

Never had any major issues w/ my blackberry...I know anytime I did have an issue w/ it I just got it replaced for free...I know quite a few i-phone users who had to pull full price...that and I know not 1 person who has an I-Phone who at some point hasn't cracked their screen because they don't sell phone cases that actually cover the i-phone screen...not being able to use certain video players, battery power/charging issues...freezing...I've heard way too many negative things about i-phones to switch over...it's just not worth it

Ya'll niggas is crazy as catshit. Blackberries cant be touched when it comes to pushing emails, which anyway has a specific audience (business users).

Either way, that new Bold Touch 9900/9930 dropping next week for Verizon and the week after for Sprint. That shit is pure fire, touch screen and physical keyboard.

I cant see myself leaving blackberry anytime soon. Ya'll niggas can text while we BBM lol

I have one myself.
In regards to BBM though, I heard that the new I Phone will or already has the same concept for it's own "BBM". IPM? :/

smh at you not even bothering to google before posting this.........smh....enjoy your phone

he's right tho ... its all in how you use the phone. and at the end of the day the feds can ping your cell phone whether its on or off and know exactly where you are on earth cuzzo. they regardless to company or phone model. when you get on the "there's an app for that" bandwagon, thats when you can be put out there worse than a normal user. i dont even use facebook on my phone

they all do one way or another LOL

either way its no different than texting. milspec and being straight to the point are BB's strong points ..... not instant messaging LOL

Yup, they all end up trying to outdo the competition, it's their job.
I don't really use BBM so it makes no difference to me.

For work, yes.

Black berry still has one major advantage over every other option: security

Blackberry filters every bit of network traffic through their servers, either through BES or BIS. Not a raw socket to the internet. If that's important to you, choose BB. If not, i'd say every other manufacturer is better. BBM is cornball

IF you don't need that extra layer of security, the better browsers on iphone/android are worth the price of admission alone.

RIm doesn't have a monopoly on good push email anymore either

Right now I have a blackberry bold II, and an HTC inspire(android)

when ever i see the new commericials about the phones they are coming out with i always think about what that jewish guy on jurassic park said

"sometimes when we create things, we are so busy and intrigued with IF WE CAN DO IT, that we never stop to think IF WE SHOULD DO IT"

Ive had a few problems with my BB like not being able to do the tethering thing with a usb cord, no flash on their native browser etc. but at the same time ... i learned the important features of the phone quickly and the phone was very reliable.

i currently have an evo.... and while i got it for some of the advanced features .... sometimes i find myself experimenting with features asking " why the hell did they put this on here?? LOL"

some of the simplest shit you should be able to do you cant. like rearranging apps and icons on your home screen. they wouldnt even let you transfer your phone book with out dumping the whole thing into a gmail account. i literally had to brainstorm and figure out a way to get around it (which i eventually did)

like i said before ... all apple and htc are good for is bells and whistles. BB has the fundamental things down pact. apple and htc are so obsessed with having the most wild features and being able to do magical tricks that they forgot to make the foundation of the phone solid. when you buy an iphone or droid, they'll tell you that the phone is fully customizable .... that is no where near the truth. only get one if you NEED one of the more advanced features it has

I would argue with that a bit.

I think one area where BB still shines is in their very basic macro functions, allowing you to you create a masterful wordlist to speed up writing emails or whatever. I'm surprised apple and google overlooked that.

That plus the security is all I can really give RIM at this point.

I think for being pure PHONES, blackberries have been lackluster. Most major brand android devices and the iphones are much better at telephony than blackberries. Text messaging is a wash because anybody can do that right(maybe...).

With android being so diverse hardware wise, many of your disappointments are going to be related to specific devices, not the Android world as a whole. Once 1ghz phones started dropping, Android climbed quite far away from anything RIM was putting out.

I'm also on the development side, and android is much better on that end, ensuring a constant stream of ambitious projects.

it's like the actual phone feature is forgotten about but people get caught up in "But i can download a bunch of apps"...

yeah??? well how about letting me rearrange my icons freely instead of dictating to me that they must be in alphabetical order ... not to mention the ones you can even delete. and if you reply back telling me i can download an app to do it i swear im gonna upload a virus that will spontaneously combust your keyboard LOL

droid and apple stay overlooking basic shit .... if it wasnt for wirless tethering (which you have to root the phone to get) i wouldnt even have got this evo ... and lets not even talk about development .... a 3d screen?? LOL thats what you call development ..... well hell atleast it made the price of the real evo go down LOLOLOL

It's also easy to to rearrange the home screen icons my man.

click and hold it until the 'move' screen comes up, move it where you like. It couldn't be easier.

HTC does telephony way better than RIM

exactly ... i can think of a bunch of shit they could do with the actual cell phone screen itself .... they just over looked it or pushed it aside

like when your phone goes to sleep ...it automatically takes it to the lock screen everytime!! LOL ... now if there's a way to get that off, you have to go to android college before performing such a delicate procedure LOL

dont get it twisted ... the evo is no doubt a great phone, but its so obvious they said fuck the foundation and went straight to the bells and whistles asap LOL

your sins are forgiven, but yea that's just the apps list

if you want specific orders of apps, that's why they give you multiple scenes, home screens and folders. You can have thousands of arrangements

i use 4 scenes, each with customized home screens and icon folders

the mirror app comes in handy when you are fixing your emo eyeliner, etc

i'm not an android stan, it lets me down in multiple ways, too. For the record

"just the apps list" ??? da fuck

you mean to tell me a nigga has 7 home screens sliding up and down, turn the phone to the left and the screen comes with you etc but i cant even put my browser in the top row of the "apps screen"

blackberry can do it ... why cant droid?? LOL

now you tell me to put apps in folders so i have a big nasty yellow manilla folder on my screen?? why dont you just slap my grandmom??

because she has a mean counter-punch game

I feel you, trust me. I have a whole list of annoyances with android, and they are very "WTF" type complaints, just like yours.

I only dig into the apps list when I have something new, before i place it in the folder it belongs. If you want to keep the home-home screen pure, just put the folders on another screen. I missed a few of the ease-of-access things that RIM had going on, which is boggling to me because google is the master of that stuff everywhere else.
