The only good thing Blackberry got going for it is the BBM, otherwise its a rubbish phone and one of the worst 'smartphones' out there, i agree with the predictions of it being dead in 2 or 3 years.

i actually disagree here ... blackberry's are not rubbish. its just that they dont put enough emphasis on the bells and whistles. blackberry will not fall, you can quote me on this. all they need is one good phone to compete with the evo and iphone. blackberrys are very reliable. its just that the features are bland and basic

Ya'll niggas is crazy as catshit. Blackberries cant be touched when it comes to pushing emails, which anyway has a specific audience (business users).

Either way, that new Bold Touch 9900/9930 dropping next week for Verizon and the week after for Sprint. That shit is pure fire, touch screen and physical keyboard.

I cant see myself leaving blackberry anytime soon. Ya'll niggas can text while we BBM lol

Blackberries have a target audience, and it works well for us. I have one for work (email is best on a BB), and the Air Force issues those as well, so I have a gov't one. (DoD doesn't like iPhones or Droid from security standpoints just yet) I also have an iPhone for regular personal use. Different devices for different things.

RIM will not be dead in a few years... as much as people try to MAKE it one, RIM is not in competition with Apple. They have their own little niche; Apple and Droid will fight over market shares and all that.

Blackberry's are for simple phone users. Apple and Droid will catch the app user crowd(USA) while Blackberry owns the rest of the world who use the phone for what phones are supposed to be used for. Ive been a loyal Blackberry user for 5 years and plan on sticking to it.

On a side note, Ive been using this damn 8900 Curve for 3 years smh and shit is doing just fine although I will upgrade in the next couple months.

Ha. I threw my touch pro 2 on the ground yesterday and got a Blackberry tour as a replacement (I refuse to use my 2 year upgrade right now cuz im waiting it out for an iPhone announcement) and I must say, for a two year old phone, its very solid and for what I do with a phone, provides all the features in a very user friendly and presentable package.

All i really need in a phone is email, twitter, facebook, linkedin, & banking. The blackberry does it well with no extra shit that I don't want. simple & easy, won't be leaving blackberry anytime soon. plus with virgin mobile i pay 55 bucks a month unlimited everything, can't beat it
