No he's a pop icon, legends are remembered for generations for a certain thing....He's known to too many people for to many different things..some for his impact on West Coast Rap, some for his marijuana image, his reality show, his movies, when its all said and done, he's best music will be contributed to Dr. Dre's vision, not his, his music has been wack for over 15 years.

Sorry brotha Snoop is definitely a legend if fans are still playing your album(Doggstyle and The Chronic) and its 15 to 17yrs later brotha you are a legend. Snoop is definitely not the same rapper BUT he definitely CHANGED the game and made MF's step they game up. You think Dre would have a classic in Chronic without Snoop then whatever you smoking I want some. Because "Deep Cover" set the tone for the Chronic album. Yall cant tell me Snoop didnt destroy that song

He's a legend because of his personality, if it was based off his music the answer would be no. Snoop only had one dope album.

This is a good response and you're right but in hip hop culture, longevity is a big benchmark for determining legendary status in the game.

Hell yeah Snoop a legend, and he has plenty good music besides Doggystyle. He never topped that, but I enjoy all of his albums and collaborations.

He has been the consistent mainstream West Coast rep (along with Black Eye Peas for the multicultural crowd which is big in Cali) since the late 90's.

If it wasn't for him, Cali rap would have been faded.
