No, you can't.

God chose you and forced you to believe it.

wtf are u talking about? god doesnt force you 2 believe in him... if thats the case you would still be a Christian... (you was religious @ one point right)

You're not getting what I'm saying.

If you are "Christian" then you are a believer and follower of the Christian religion, which would mean you read and believe in every word within the bible.

In the bible, it speaks of "chosen people". It claims that people do not chose god, god chooses you. I was formerly a believer in god and formerly a believer that god had chosen me.

Eventually, I came to terms that god isn't real, god is simply a myth stolen from other myths.

In reality, yes, you choose what you want to believe in or not.

In the religious sense, no, you do not. Because it is written that you were chosen rather than the other way around.

just cuz u a Christian dont mean you gotta believe every word in the Bible...

do scientists believe in every theory?

btw there are many different parts 2 the Christian religion catholics dont believe exactly what baptist believe or pentecostal ect... so thats false

btw some Christians might believe they are "chosen" dont mean we all do...

Do you believe the bible is the "true word of god" ?

Because the hindu gods aren't real.

LMAO. I'm done.

Hinduism-and-Christianity.jpg

I respect both Hinduisim scriptures as well as Christian. I do feel since Hinduisim existed way before Christianity and in the actual Hinduisim scriptures it says clearly there is only 1 creator 1 god that it did influence Christianity as well as influencing it with things like karma, heaven and hell etc

But that pic is prenticious as Hinduisim doesn't recognize Jesus Christ directly or indirectly and Christianity doesn't recognize Krishna directly or indirectly

How can believers dictate what turns someone into an atheist or agnostic?

because there is a definition 2 those words you kno... and if u fit in that catagory by saying "i dont believe in god" thats atheism or "i believe in being spiritual but dont kno exactly if god exists" that makes u agnostic..

That's not what I meant. How we came to those conclusions is the point I'm making.

It's normally the same sort of situation that turn people from God.

I left Christianity when I researched the origins and other religions. That's when I left religion alone and realized we know nothing to have faith in.

Real Talk. In addition to research, I always felt that something was wrong with religion as a kid. It didn't make much sense to me that the judeo-christian god seemed so petty, angry, vengeful and flawed. I wondered why (other than the fact that the bible said that we should) anyone want to worship such a being. The stories in the bible conflict one another and most of it is quite ridiculous. One would hope that a superior being would have written a much better work. It would be flawless perfection instead of poetic madness.

So what would life form on other planets mean in terms of the bible?

it means that people can believe in things they've never seen and for all they know don't exist but reject religion b/c it requires you to suspend logic

looks like this thread is going nowhere, again.

It's one of the oldest debates in history, can't expect any progress to be made in this thread. Niggas in Ancient Greece were probably having similar discussions like "Fuck you mean Zeus ain't really up there? You seen the lightning nigga what other proof do you need?!"

Faith or just reality. It's the latter. Nothing can be proven.

No proof on Jesus on existing. Only on Christian sites and I done the research.

The history of the bible is mixed false and some factual evidence. Genesis is false. No huge slavery system in Kemet existed. The old testament written in 500 BC. Genesis was the last book to be written. Yeah, and Hindu, kemet/ta seti(group a nubia) religious system is older. The habiru who the Hebrews descend from were a mixed group of bandits and mercenaries. Every evidence and research leads to the scriptures are false of a cult of a god of a pantheon they keep gaining power as they conquered and pillage cities and such. Your not talking to someone who is ignorant of history.

Jesus historical existence is documented in numerous secular sources. If you deny the existence of Jesus Christ, might as well deny the existence of every other historical figure from that time. Amen.

No, I'm not a believer

Yes you are. Your just suppressing the truth with the lies of the enemy. Rebuke the devil in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Because I like to take part in debates against religion, that makes me a believer?

No, I just believe that your a child of God that has gone astray temporarily. But you hear His voice, your just trying to fight His call on your life. Eventually you will repent of your pride, humble yourself, and call on Him to rescue you from the pit your in. Hallelujah!

Religion doesn't save my friend. It's the God-man who saves, the Lord Jesus Christ. Do you know Him?
