X is definitely all of those things. He MAY have tried to be a decent father and he may be one but alla that shit limits his father potential. Bruh, you keep pointing to money as the end all be all of everything. That's one of the problems with capitalism, the scoreboard should not be who has the most money.

A good way to look at of someone is FUNCTIONING well is to look at their relationships and mental state. Does the person have family and friends around? Is the person stable? Is the person able to care for his/herself in a capable manner. Are they responsible?

I can go on with the questions. X behavior is hardly functional in that scenario. In and out of jail, no relationship with his kids, robbing fans, impersonating cops, damn near can't walk into a store without getting into a beef...that is not functional.

If anything a functioning addict would be someone like t.i. I'm not saying he is an addict, but even though he was caught with drugs and he does wild out at times, he seems to be a good father and husband on the tv show and is able to work and act and put out albums all while Hollywood and record industry call him dependable and professional.

That is functioning.
