X is right about the Aaliyah album, and to an extent about Drake's sound. Drake's songs do sound very similar specially his hooks. It was nice and refreshing in the beginning, but now he's just capitalizing of the same style and it is becoming redundant. I also think that Drake needs to stop actin like a tough guy, gangster, thug, whateva. He's not built like that and shouldn't be lying. He always says he keeps it real in his music, but this guy has changed so much just to fit in. You should check out the Drake before getting signed and current Drake, two different people, which is sad. Everyone is afraid to be themselves because of street cred, well fuck street cred, you get my respect by being real, and not everyone is a thug and I don't see why you would wanna be a thug cuz nothin positive comes from it. So there is some truth to DMX's comments, I don't exactly understand his hate for Drake, but that's his thing. I do agree X needs to get help, I don't like seeing him like this. Folk know he aint a hard dude so they always testin him. eventually folk get tired of it. Also a lot of DMX's stuff sounded the same with the switzz production and him barking..... Drake has a signature sound and he riding it out... Drake aint rappin about dope and killing he rapping about women and simpin which he does so what do u want him to rap about? I ask that cuz J Cole get criticized on here for being boring and he raps about regular person shit.... List specific examples to Drake rapping tough outside of the body like that line.... this aint me caping for Drake but just having a objective discussion/observation
