another thing that hurt P around time of the last don being made was - too much fuckin 2pac biting, way too much. shit was obvious and disgusting.

Getting rid of his production team & especially the rise of Cash Money dethroned No Limit. When 400 Degrees dropped then Cash Money put their flag on New Orleans turf

^^^ I think it was a combination of that, and the fact that their music just wasn't that good in the first place. It sounded professional and there was bass. It was professionally recorded, but the actual quality of the musical compositions wasn't exceptional. All of their stuff sounded the same.

silk had a jay-z feature too. lol

It was a big moment for hip-hop, at least that's what my brother told me. This was back before i was really hip to Jay-Z, but Percy swore he was dope. I wasn't really impressed to be honest. I asked around and one of my homeboys said that Jay had been rapping for a while, and he couldn't get even get signed at initially. At that point I knew I was gonna smash him on this joint. Shit, I been signed since i was sixteen years old! My team was releasing 3 albums every month! I wasn't intimidated by this clown. So jay comes in and does his verse in one take, so i was like fuck it, I'll knock mine out in one take too. Jay knew better than to try that fast rapping shit around me though. I was the wildest, craziest, fastest rapper in the south. I wanted to one-up him, so I decided to record my verse without the headphones on. Craig B was like, "how will you stay on beat if you don't listen on the headphones?!?"

No Limit fell off when beats by the bound left. Koeno and that production was not the same and as a no limit fan I could tell the difference and was mad lol. U could really see the difference on the 3rd tru album with hootie ho on it and that master p album in 99 with the pastor troy diss on it just wasnt the same.mac world war 3 was the exception in 99.

What percentage of the album sales was going to 50 compared to P

Wasn't a big fan, but I nod my head to a lot of songs, and P hustle game is top notch. Most of them cats had no flow and the songs were comical, I ain't mad how they got down
