Trinidad's version is called Chango Baptist.....but it could definitely be some other kind of rootwork, obeah or "voodoo" that deals more with both sides (light and dark). There's more than 'something to it' --this stuff is real. I dabble in this realm, but Verrrryyyy carefully. And not nearly as much as I used to. I tend to stick to general prayer and meditation nowadays...ritual, not so much.
