I don't get the "end times" shit. Every believer believes it's gonna happen in their life time, always. I've yet to meet a believer who believes likewise, otherwise they'd probably be slain by their church members.

When is it gonna set in that when you use logic, there's been plenty of periods where all this seems to come in such heavy waves? There's been horrible famines, droughts, earthquakes, massacres etc.... It's just the way things go, it's no signs. Yet, the "witty" rebuttal to all that is, "well, it's gonna be 20X worse! so pffffft".
