I played both of these albums so goddamn much when i was 14. Made so many friends turn into hip hop heads because of these two albums alone. Both undeniable classics.

I really like the concept of Deltron. Really love concept albums in general. Deltron did have a couple skippable tracks for me though.

Madvillainy... That album was perfection since the first time i heard it. I remember when i was young, i used to download new music, find a new album/artist and play the album while laying in bed waiting to go to sleep. First time i heard Madvillainy made me feel like i was on an acid trip. This album immediately put DOOM in a top list of MC's and Madlib as a top 5 producer for me. Just such abstract beats that were unlike anything ive ever heard.

I listened to hip hop and underground rap and all that good stuff prior to Madvillain, but that album MADE me a hip hop head. Hearing that album made me look up every sample i could find on the album, discovered so much music thanks to madvillainy.

Fuck you. Fuck this thread. Fuck Trump. Fuck both Clintons. Fuck the entire concept of voting. Fuck Alaska. And fuck you.

On some real shit tho, those albums were staples in underground hip hop. I put Black Milk's Popular Demand and LB's The Minstrel Show (group album, but same feel) in that same vein. No extra bullshit, no big budgets or big names, just a couple of ppl with dope ass ideas and imagination.
