Genesis 3 tells us the deal. And we are currently living it out.

God said don't eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil or else we will die.

The devil came and said that we won't die, but we will be like God knowing good and evil.

Eve was deceived and ate, then she gave the fruit to Adam who was next to her and he ate as well.

After that choice was made sin entered into the world, death came because of it, and the grave yard never says enough.

So the deal with the devil was made long ago with our first parents and it subsequently passes down from generation to generation. That is why we all die!

Even though all die in Adam, yet in Jesus Christ shall all be made alive! What the first Adam messed up on the tree, the 2nd Adam came and fixed us up by a tree! Hallelujah! Thus God has given us the choice to be BORN AGAIN in order to break the deal with the devil that we all have.

The deal of being able to do evil. Only god knew of good and evil, we only knew how to do good. We ate of the "tree" and were then able to lie, steal, cheat, murder, covet, etc and we could only do that when we gained the ability to see ourselves as separate from everything else*(notice our nakedness).... quite a major evolutionary jump of our consciousness.

You are going to have to deal with Him regardless my brother. There is nowhere you can hide to escape from your appointment with Him my friend. Where can you go to hide yourself from His Spirit? Or where can you flee from His presence? If you ascend to heaven, He is there! If you make your bed in Sheol, He is there!
