DEAL DONE!!!!!! Pau+Odom to Lakers, according to Wojnansk (sp?)

As much as i hate the Lakers, they dont get enough credit for being smarter than other teams.

1) Odom was acquired in the Shaq treade 6 years ago- how many teams still have players they acquired 6 years ago?

2) Bynum was drfated 10th overall- how many 10th picks even pan out, let alone grow to be a good enough asset to get Dwight Howard

3) The Lakers aint the only team with a nice group of assets. But look at other teams do with their assets:

Chicago: Never wanted to give up Deng and Gordon, when a few years back they could have got KG....Now they dont want to give up Noah

Portland- didnt want to give up Batum, Fernandez, etc. - now their a perenial 6th seed.

what... hell no... Why are former players, analysts, coaches ripping this shit then? They don't love the game?... Steve Kerr said this morning on the radio this is one of the worst things he's ever seen happen in the NBA; he said it's a disgrace

Steve Kerr never had to witness superstars making pinky promises to be on eachothers teams and "dominate" the league together..

As MJ himself said, the mere thought never even crossed his mind.

And thats how every player should think.

In no way, shape or form, is buddies teaming up to form superstar teams and sucking the blood out of the small market teams in the process, doing good for the NBA.

I think its actually bringing the game into disrepute.

WESTWEGO, La. (AP) -- One day after Chris Paul learned his trade to the Los Angeles Lakers wasn't going to happen, he has shown up for the opening of Hornets training camp in suburban New Orleans.

The 26-year-old Paul was seen walking in the training facility Friday wearing a black Hornets practice jersey.

On Thursday night, NBA rejected a proposed trade of the All-Star guard to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Hornets had established the framework of a three-team deal that would have sent Lamar Odom to New Orleans and Pau Gasol to Houston. The deal also would have sent Luis Scola, Kevin Martin and Goran Dragic from the Rockets to New Orleans, along with a 2012 first-round draft choice.

i think the trade is gonna go down.............it's a bad look for NBA.........rumors of David Stern retiring soon..........obviously Paul likes the idea of becoming a Laker.....the Hornets and Rockets want the deal to happen........all signs point to yes.

They want it to happen because the player is making demands.

He is under contract.

He has no right to be forcing their hand, they paying for his services and he isnt honoring that pact.

This move by the league is a warning, cause this nigga single handedly fucked up 3 teams now.. NO, Houston and LA.

And nah, it isnt gonna go down.

Even when Jews are wrong they wont admit it.

Paul is a Hornet for one more year and he fucked up his team instead of staying put and seeing how the year played out.

Bolded is Bullshit , Pau Gasol aint Nice??

N.O. was set to get Kevin Martin 23ppg very underrated , Odom 6th man of the year and was all-star worthy last season , Scola who is nice , and Dragic

how the hell is that enough?? ... okay Chris Paul is the best player out of the bunch, But by far??? Fuck outta here ... the whole point of trading a superstar is getting Value u in return , did they get 1 player that was on Paul Level?? No but they got 4 dudes in return that were Damn good starters, very very good starters and Dragic

that was a bitch move ....... i'll wait on the Link to see if that Letter is true , but if it is that's hoe'ish, Like i said i feel more bad for N.O. than i do the Lakers cuz N.O. Made a good ass deal

He did mention the Gasol trade and how he didn't like it

I know but for gilbert to say Chris Paul was "The Clear Cut best player in the deal" as if everyone else was on Luke Walton status , the real story was at the end of it when gilbert said "Now this puts them in position to get Dwight Howard" ...Sounds Like a child

"Well he gets this and he gets that ...Thats just no Fair ! *Folds Arms*

Coming from a rockets fan N.O. is getting some nice pieces just not big names plus they're getting picks. I've seen teams get a lot worse for stars especially recently...
