Babylon the Great is a "Mystery". Not many people will understand it. Only to those who humble themselves and ask God for revelation will understand who she is. This takes time, STUDY, and seeking the LORD for wisdom.

Again I appeal to the scriptures for the biblical precedent. The Old world ignored the warnings of Noah, Lots sons-in law ignored his warning to flee from Sodom, the Jews ignored the warnings of Isaiah, the Jews ignored the warnings of Jeremiah, the jews ignored the signs of Christ 1st coming, etc. Thus, Ecclesiastes 1:9 comes to life again. "What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun."

1. Babylon the Great rules over all the kings of the earth. Brazil doesn't fit that description, they have no clout on the world stage.

"The woman you saw is the great city that rules over the kings of the earth.” Revelation 17:18

2. Babylon the Great is described as an importer of all the worlds goods, which in turn make the merchants that trade with her rich.

When Babylon is destoyed this is what will happen:



"The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her because no one buys their cargoes anymore." Revelation 18:11

The merchants are traders who trade with Babylon their goods. If you keep reading the text, God lists all the things that the merchants traded with Babylon.



"cargoes of gold, silver, precious stones and pearls; fine linen, purple, silk and scarlet cloth; every sort of citron wood, and articles of every kind made of ivory, costly wood, bronze, iron and marble; 13cargoes of cinnamon and spice, of incense, myrrh and frankincense, of wine and olive oil, of fine flour and wheat; cattle and sheep; horses and carriages; and human beings sold as slaves." Most of the above are things are luxury items that Babylon bought and in turn made the merchants rich. After Babylon is destroyed, the merchants weep and wail because the country that they did the majority of their trading with is destroyed, which in turn has cut off their income. Read the text my friend.

"“They will say, ‘The fruit you longed for is gone from you. All your luxury and splendor have vanished, never to be recovered.’ 15The merchants who sold these things and gained their wealth from her will stand far off, terrified at her torment. They will weep and mourn 16and cry out:

believe it or not america does not rule over all the kings of the earth and our money is not the strongest on earth nor is our standards of living it is also not the highest and everything on that list can be applied to many other nation that exist or that might exist bring this into the other thread

So in a thread where the original post is about the world needing to be "de-americanised", you say that

1. America doesn't rule over the kings of the world

2. The dollar isn't the strongest

3. The standard of living isn't the highest.
