White people get cosmetic surgery day in and day out and are never called the white equivalent of a 'coon' or accused of self hate by their peers, why is it it that way for black people that choose to go under the knife?

What makes them doing it more of a case of shame to be black rather than just a I hate my fucking nose, or I hate my chin and I want to change it?

we were taught to love ourselves for who we are. That black is beautiful. Therefore pullin a move like Dawn, Lil Kim, And other black celebs (and rich blacks) would be deemed as tryin to please white folks. To feel accepted in their culture. It's pretty much like a slap in the face, b/c you're turning your back on your blackness. Validating the white man's lie that black ISN'T beautiful.

I don't know where it comes from, but it's firmly in place especially for females.

If you look at pictures of women that are considered 'attractive', even amongst their own race, it's always a woman with a smaller nose.

She's one of the extreme examples I wanted to avoid, but when she FIRST got her nose done, it wasn't all that bad.
